STATIONS OF THE CROSS
BY DOROTHY GLINSKI
First Station-Jesus is Condemned to Death
Lord, what have I done to your Son. If I hadn't sinned, You would not have had,
to be put up to the ridicule of the soldiers.
*O My Jesus, forgive me my sins, save us from the fires of hell, bring all souls to
heaven especially those who are most in need of Your
One Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory Be.
Second Sation-Jesus Receives The Cross
Jesus, the cross they put on Your most sacred shoulders, should have been put on mine.
I am the one who is the sinner. The one that sins against Your Fathers commands constantly not You. *
Third Station-Jesus Fall the First Time
The weight of the cross is so heavy. You are tired and You wonder, why no one
seems to care. You performed miracles throughout Your life but the people have forgotten all You have done for them.
Your Father is hurting along with You, but He knows this is the only way we sinners can ever enjoy the Kingdom He has prepared
for us. *
Fourth Station-Jesus is met by His Blessed Mother
Mary, how can you ever forgive me, for hutring Your Son. I always seem to look
the other way, when things get bad. I should accept in meekness, the crosses Your Son Jesus send to me. Help me
my wonderful Queen. Jesus knows you understood His pain and why it had to be. Help me to understand His pain and
unite my pain and crosses with His pain on the cross. *
Fifth Station-Simon of Cyrene Helped Jesus Carry His Cross.
Simon what thoughts must have gone through your mind, when they chose you to help Jesus
carry His cross. Was it disgust or were you happy to do it. Did you know He was the Son of God or did you
have doubts? How I wish Lord it was I, so that I could have relived Your
burden. It seems Lord all I do is add to it every day by adding more and more
sins to the weight of Your cross. How Lord can You forgive me for making You suffer so? Only through Your Mercy
can I be saved. *
Sixth Station-Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus
Jesus, what would I have done, if You passed by me? Would I have had the courage
that Veronica did? The coward that I am, I doubt that I would have done it. I probably would have turned my head
as You passed by so I could not see the hurt in Your eyes as you looked at me. There are so many ways in my life
that I could help relieve the sufferings of my fellow man, IN YOUR NAME, that I bypass. Please give me strength to help
others. I am so weak Lord only through Your help can I have the strength and fortitude to help. *
Seventh Station-Jesus Falls the Second Time
The crown of thorns, is pressing down on Your most Sacred Head opening up the wounds
all over again. The blood is flowing into your eyes. Your knee hits the ground and You were ready to cry out but
You knew it had to be done to save us. Lord how many times have you carried me through my life? How many times
did I really appreciate Your help? God, why cant't I accept the cross You gave me to carry? Why do I shrink from
it especially when things go wrong in my life? Why do I continually question Your will for my life? *
Eighth Station-Jerusalem Women mourn for Jesus
Lord, we feel sorry for You, but deep in our heart, we are mourning for ourselves,
knowing in time our children will face the cruelty of life and its injustices. Help our children know You better and help
them keep close to YOU. Never to stray from praying and doing good for others. *
Ninth Station-Jesus Falls the Third Time
Jesus, You are so close to Calvary now, but Your strength is no longer with You.
You fall again only to be spat upon and hit by the Roman Soldiers, and pulled up roughly. The blood is falling into
your eyes and blood is gushing out from the open wounds but no one cares they just want to get you up and walking
again they are afraid You will die before You reach Golgotha. The hurt that must have been in Your eyes wondering if even
one knew what He was doing. How many times have I caused You pain, by hurting the ones I love, by an unkind word or
deed. Lord in Your mercy please forgive me. *
Tenth Station- Jesus is Stripped of His Garments
Jesus, the soldiers are cruelly ripping your garments, from Your sacred body.
They do not care if the wounds are reopening. I do the same to You every time I gossip, make fun of or tear someone
down, I am ripping their garments off too, esposing their hurts, wounds and fears. Lord help me to realize every
one of your children and adults are Yours. They are made in Your image. Help me to console them instead of ridiculing
Eleventh Station- Jesus is nailed to the cross
Jesus, You stretch out Your Sacred hand and legs willingly. You know Your Father
in Heaven is watching with a heart filled with sorrow. If we didn't sin You would not have to suffer this the most horrible
of deaths. The nails are pounded in Your hands and feet. How many were rusty, dirty? No one cared.
They just wanted to get it over with. Lord, the pain You had to endure for us
to get to heaven no man on earth could endure. Why can we not realize that by sinning, we are causing those nails to
be pounded in all over again. LORD, LORD, WHY! WASN'T IT ME ON THAT CROSS INSTEAD OF YOU. It was I who deserved
to die like that not YOU. *
Twelfth Station-Jesus Dies on the Cross
Jesus, Lord, You are hanging on the cross, looking out at Your people, wondering
why they did not understand You. All You wanted was to have them understand that You wanted peace in the world! You
take one last look at them and then up to the heavens, and wonder if when it is all consummated will they understand then.
Thirteenth Station-Jesus is Laid in the Arms of His Mother
Mary, How can you ever forgive me? My sins put Your son in your arms. Your
heart was pierced so many times by our neglect, not realizing that we are hurting both you and God the Father with our sins.
Your heart was breaking, but you knew there was nothing you could do. How would we feel if our son or daughter was put
in our arms the way Our Lord was put into your? Mary forgive me for causing your son to die in this cruel manner for
my sins. *
Fourteenth Station-Jesus is Laid in the Tomb
Nicodemus, thank you for having the courage to ask for Jesus's body. This way
He wasn't put into a potters field. I wonder if I would have had your courage to ask for His most Sacred body.
The weak person that I am I probably would have ran and hid. Lord, Forgive me for being so Weak, Scared and
Afraid especially when You send crosses my way to test my faith in You. I fail miserably in this regard.
I think I can do it all without Your help or what a fool I am. *
Fifteenth Station- Jesus Rises From the Dead
ALLELUJAH! JESUS MY SAVIOR HAS PUSHED THE CHAINS OF SIN OFF OF HIS
PEOPLE-TO BRING THEM HOME TO HIS FATHER THANK
