This, O Jesus, is our prayer: Remove from the hearts of
men all that can endanger peace, and strengthen them in the truth, in justice and brotherly love. Enlighten the rulers of
the peoples so that, with due care for their brothers’ welfare, they may guarantee and defend the great treasure of
peace; kindle the wills of all men, so that they may overcome the barriers that divide them, restore the bonds of mutual charity,
and be ready to understand, to pity and to forgive one another so that in your name all the peoples may be united, and peace,
your peace, may triumph in all hearts, and in all families, and throughout the world.
Pope John XXIII 1881-1963
