God Bless Our Nation

Smoke and ashes fill the deadly sky
Emptiness
has filled our hearts as we cry
While people stand in shock and mourn
The biggest city has been ripped and torn.
Tuesday
morning was just an ordinary day
Now lifeless bodies are put to lay
Though many left home never saying goodbye
Thousands
walked by someone and never said "HI".
Who would of thought September 11th be a day of
sorrow?
What about
their hopes and dreams for tomorrow?
Why did these innocent people have to die?
Where did this tragedy come from the
sky?
Why does it take a tragedy to open up our eyes?
Why do we live in a world with anger and lies?
Who are
these faceless cowards that perform these
tasks?
Who are these people that wear the evil masks?
This tragedy
that hit us is a complete disaster
Instead of war we should turn to our master
Ignorance and evil once ruled our nation
We all pulled together and developed a new
relation.
Firefighters have risked their lives to save others
We
must love one another as sisters and brothers
Volunteers from all over flee to help those in need
To do all they can
to perform a good deed.
Our presidents eyes are filled with sorrow and
tears
We try to move on but carry many
fears
Can we live in a world with love and peace?
Let's join together and pray to put war to cease.
Tragedy
has forced our nation to pull together
This nightmare will certainly remain with us
forever
While Red, White,
and Blue covers the town
We must stand up tall instead of frown.
This is dedicated to all those who have been
affected by this national tragedy
Good will prevail and soon will come a strategy
Our condolences and sympathy
are with those who
have lost a loved one
God is in charge and will patch up all that has
been done.
